TDC Engages Tema Traditional Council and Tema Youth Association on Meridian Site at Community One, Tema

TDC Ghana Ltd held a stakeholder engagement with the Tema Traditional Council and the Tema Youth Association following concerns raised over ongoing development activities at the Meridian site in Community One, Tema.

During the meeting, the President of the Tema Youth Association, Mr. Abraham Adjei Tawiah, conveyed the community’s concerns, particularly regarding the preservation of deities, sacred spaces, and the traditional heritage associated with the land.

Management of TDC Ghana Ltd assured the youth and traditional authorities of the Company’s commitment to safeguarding Tema’s cultural heritage while advancing orderly and sustainable development. It was further indicated that the Management would visit the site based on the concerns raised and work collaboratively towards a mutually acceptable resolution.

The engagement formed part of TDC’s broader efforts to hear all perspectives, promote dialogue, and identify an amicable and lasting solution that balances development needs with cultural preservation.

The Managing Director reaffirmed TDC Ghana Ltd’s commitment to transparency, dialogue and the balanced development of Tema.
